Pipe Lining Services

At Environmental Pipe Cleaning, our epoxy pipe lining services can be used to repair pipes that have corroded or otherwise deteriorated. This process is celebrated for being a more affordable solution for governmental facilities and commercial buildings than total pipe replacement services. Furthermore, the process is convenient and quick to install, preserving your landscape from damage while ensuring that your current pipes are repaired in a timely manner. It can avoid the need to completely replace pipes, and this method is a viable option for many types of pipe repairs, especially for pipes that require food grade coatings.

Remove Corrosion and Debris

One of the first steps for an epoxy pipe lining installation involves the removal of oxidation in the existing pipes. By removing the oxidation, the pipes are then prepared for the epoxy liner installation which can then fill in areas that have deteriorated. This is performed by blowing air with silica particles throughout the pipes, effectively sandblasting them and removing oxidation deposits. Equipment is used downstream and upstream of the pipe to catch the oxidation debris.

Install the Epoxy Lining

Once the corrosion has been removed, the epoxy lining can be installed. Air is blown down the pipes after they have been cleaned, and this time the air is filled with an epoxy liquid. The liquid coats the inside of the existing pipe and within a few hours, it hardens. The method does not require landscape disruption or other types of inconvenient installations, and the method is very quick and efficient regardless of the number of pipelines involved.

Epoxy is Safe

Pipes that are used to carry drinking water are often repaired with this method because epoxy is food grade and suitable for these types of pipes. However, epoxy is not necessarily the strongest material, and it can break down under load-bearing applications. The method is typically used for governmental facilities and commercial wall and floor pipes but not for sewer pipes as a result of this. When the pipe needs more strength, a regular pipe liner is installed (commonly fiberglass and polyester felt with a resin).
